LAMC-2025 R9 Diversity and Inclusion Initiative
The IEEE MTT-S Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Ad-Hoc Committee has approved the implementation of an initiative entitled:
“Promoting Diversity and Inclusion at LAMC-2025 by Supporting Region 9 Female Speakers”
This initiative will be implemented as part of the conference to encourage more participation of female graduate students, professors, and industrial researchers from Latin America, working in technical fields related to RF and microwave engineering and willing to present their research at the conference.
The MTT-S D&I Ad-Hoc Committee will provide financial support through LAMC-2025 conference registration waivers granted to the largest possible number of female speakers from Region 9, constrained by the final approved budget (following the order of the applications received).
To maximize the impact of this initiative, the awarded female speakers must be MTT-S members studying or working at a university, research center, or industry located in Latin America, with no age limit for the awarded female participants.
If you are a female from Latin America presenting a paper at LAMC-2025, please complete the next application form and send it by e-mail in pdf format to the LAMC-2025 Technical Program Chair, Prof. Roberto Murphy-Arteaga (rmurphy@ieee.org) and to LAMC-2025 Financial Chair, Prof. Rafael Medina (rafael.medina1@upr.edu), by the following application deadline: October 30, 2024.
